About Us

The ARK Foundation of Malawi (UK) is a UK based charity that was founded by a small group of committed and caring individuals. At the moment it works with the ARK Foundation in Malawi to help people to positions of empowerment and self-reliance wherever possible and with that in mind we aim to promote this and other organisations that we support to become self-sustaining. We have managed to both start and grow our organisation with the help of some generous donations, and the ARK in Malawi is becoming self-sufficient with the income generated from projects that our group of volunteers work with in Nkhata Bay.

The ARK Foundation of Malawi (UK)’s vision is quite simply one where the people of Malawi have a better quality of life.

Our Mission
Our mission is to help people to positions of empowerment and self-reliance wherever possible and, with that in mind, we aim to assist community based, not-for-profit organisations in Malawi to become self-supporting.

The ARK specifically chooses to help the very young, so that they can get a better (or some) education, and the elderly so that they can have some basic comforts in their final years.
